Meet Dr. Katie Booth
It is a privilege to be a dentist and be able to impact the lives of so many people. My goal is to be caring and compassionate and to treat my team and patients as I would treat my family. I am dedicated to helping patients maintain the health of their mouth and teeth and to make sure they love their smile, whether that’s through general preventive care or cosmetic dentistry.
Originally from Springfield, IL, I began my formal education at the University of Missouri where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. From there, I attended Indiana University School of Dentistry, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009. I practiced for a non-profit agency for my first 11 years as a dentist, helping the underserved, before joining Dr. Haarman at Central Illinois Smiles.
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner in order to improve my patients’ lives. In addition to continuing education from the Pankey Institute, which focused on treatment planning, aesthetic dentistry, and occlusal disease, I am active in the GV Black District Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Mommy Dentists in Business.
My husband Jesse and I have been married since 2021 and have one son, Tommy—the joy of our lives. Many of our patients have met our dog, Bob, as he is in the office providing comfort to our patients. He is a goofy goldendoodle and loves our patients.
In my free time, I am a volunteer with Pawprint Ministries, a comfort dog organization located in Decatur. I love to exercise and spend time outside. One of our family goals is to take Tommy to as many National Parks as we can before he leaves for college!
